River Severn in Shrewsbury 20 Aug 2011

Walk No 16 - A Meander along the River Severn in Shrewsbury

The group met up at Castle Fields on the far side of the river and we crossed the bridge and followed the tarmac path, Victoria Ave, towards the town. Eventually we spotted the Boathouse Pub and a unanimous vote of hands decided we would sample the local brews and take in the summertime views. ......... 3 hours later, (only joking  !!!) we set off towards the quarry and enjoyed the gardens in the Dingle as they had been prepared for the previous weeks flower show.

Overall a very pleasant walk in enjoyable company
