GOOD FRIDAY & EASTER

On Good Friday we are offering a range of activities/services across the group – come to whichever meets your needs:

Good Friday – 10.00-12.00 Children’s activities at Newtown,

                      *12.00-3.00 ‘Experience Easter’ – Myddle church open all                       day with interactive displays   to focus your prayers and                             thoughts, with a ‘guided’ time from 2.00pm – something for                       all ages

                      7.30pm Service of Meditation on the Cross, Loppington                                          (Church@Village Hall)

 Our Easter Sunday services are as follows:

                                 8.30               Holy Communion, Broughton

      9.45               Holy Communion, Burlton                 

                             10.00               Joint Holy Communion, Newtown (with

                                                                                                                                            Loppington)

                             11.00               Family Communion, Myddle

*EXPERIENCE EASTER

As outlined above we are holding an ‘Experience Easter’ event at Myddle church. This is an exciting, interactive way to explore the Easter story, using different areas of the church to reflect on the different parts of the story from Palm Sunday onwards. We are working together with Myddle School to put it all together, and on Thursday afternoon the school will be experiencing it at 1.30pm.

On Good Friday, although the church will be open all day, we will be guiding anyone who is able to come at 2.00pm – this really is something for all ages!!

 

VESTRY & ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS

A reminder that this month is AGM season! The annual Vestry meeting is when our churchwardens are elected – this is open to anyone who lives in the parish, followed immediately by the Annual Parochial Meeting, to which everyone on the Church electoral role is traditionally expected to come.
