THE MESSENGER

You may see some slight changes to The Messenger this month.  For instance the front cover has changed ever so slightly but still shows the same picture featuring the Well House (now gone to make way for the Wellcroft development) in the foreground.

Following a generous grant of £500 from the Parish Council this edition will be the first one produced under the new arrangements.  The magazine will be copied, collated and stapled by ‘machinery’ and not by the ‘blood and sweat’ of human hands.  We hope that the new arrangements will be successful.

I wish to thank those people who have helped me with the collating, etc. over the past months - Liz & Jim, Julia and Margaret & Brendan.  It has been a tremendous relief to me to have this help and support.  I also wish to thank those people who volunteered to join a team if we went ahead with that arrangement.   For the time being you may stand down but I am grateful for your interest.  I also wish to thank Fred and Meryl Gittins for all their help over many years for printing The Messenger.  It is very sad to sever this link with them but unfortunately we have had to look for a more time efficient way to complete the task.

Production of The Messenger will be by Steve France of Grinshill but do please send your contributions to me as usual as I will still be carrying out the editing and the computer work.
